Red Star Poker offers a 110% matching bonus up to
$600 on all initial deposits that use bonus code PBSBONUS. For example, if you use the Red Star signup code
and make an initial deposit of $100, you will receive a pending bonus of $110. In order to release your
bonus into your real account you must earn Red Star Poker frequent player points by playing in tourneys
and cash games. Each frequent player point you accumulate clears $0.06 of your total pending bonus.
For every dollar you pay in tournament fees at Red Star Poker you earn 7 frequent player points.
For example, you would earn 7 FPP’s for playing in a $10 + $1 tournament. The fact that each frequent
player point is equal to clearing $0.06 of your bonus and the fact that you earn 7 points for each dollar
you spend in fees means that you clear your bonus at a rate of $0.42 cleared for every $1 spent in
tournament fees. This ratio is equal to that of Full Tilt Poker and Cake Poker and much better than the
Aced Poker bonus which clears at a rate of $0.04 for every $1 spent.
In cash games you earn an FPP for every $1 that is
raked from a hand you were dealt into. Partial points are also awarded at Red Star Poker. For example, if
$0.40 was raked from a hand you were participating in you would earn 0.4 FPP’s. The amount of players
participating in the cash game doesn’t affect how many FPP’s each player at the table earns. For example,
if you are playing in a 6-handed game or a 9-handed game and the rake is $0.40, every player at the table
still earns 0.4 FPP’s. For this reason if you are concentrating on clearing your bonus it is better for
you to play at a 9-handed table than a short-handed table because you will often be earning points without
putting any chips into the pot.
