Pitbull Poker has been digging quite a hole for itself lately, and they seem to be getting deeper and deeper in you know what. They reportedly shut down earlier this month after the owners of Pitbull Poker were arrested for jumping ship and falsifying information on the company’s home base. After a phony maintenance crew was sent into the building in the middle of the night, asking all employees to leave, and then emptying the office of everything, suspicious employees called the authorities.
The root cause of all of this was accusations that Pitbull Poker was using programmed superuser poker bots to fill seats at their online poker tables that could see their opponents hole cards. Pitbull then refused to release hand history reports and the parent company of Pitbull Poker, Dimensus Ltd. suddenly vanished, leaving the gambling brand with no definitive propietor or party responsible for base operations. They had previously mislead the public regarding where the company was actually based out of, first saying they were operating out of the UK before it became clear they were based in Costa Rica. Until now, it has been assumed that Pitbull would close with no intention of paying out any of their existing player accounts.
However, with the latest development in this story confirming that the online gambling site is officially closed, a message was left behind for players who have since logged in to their account. The messages simpley states, “It is with great sadness that we have closed Pitbull Poker. To cash out your balance, please e-mail support@pitbullpoker.com.”
Where Pitbull Poker has been most lacking, though, is in their service department, which blatantly ignored emails from players prior to all of this being made public, so many players are skeptical. Furthermore, along with this message were promotional banners for other online gambling websites that followed the statement, “Pitbull Poker Recommends the following Gaming Websites.” It can be assumed that Pitbull owners will profit off of any player who clicks on these banners and makes a deposit.
Perhaps they are promoting their ex-competitors, Cake Poker, Rushmore Casino, Bookmaker, Aladdin’s Gold, and PokerStars, to generate refunds for their jilted members…or perhaps not. Players are already mistrustful towards Pitbull and are doubtful that they are really concerned with paying their players back.
