PartyGaming is one of the leading and listed online gaming operators around. It has now announced an imminent cooperation agreement with Intralot that will see them go into new opportunities of providing online gaming services to specific worldwide markets.
Greek developer and supplier of gaming and transaction processing systems, Intralot has revealed that their new Poker service will be the first member to join PartyGaming’s poker network in Italy. Chief Executive Officer for PartyGaming, Jim Ryan said, “Our agreement with Intralot represents another significant step for us as we aim to create a strong business-to-business operation.” “We are excited about exploring opportunities with Intralot, a leading global gaming technology and services provider, which has a presence in more than 50 countries worldwide, an extensive business-to-government operation as well as an established and high-growth presence in the Italian market.”
Intralot signed into a five-year deal with PartyGaming new business-to-business unit containing the option that would see it extended in the future. This venture will commence in Italy where the two firms will join forces to set the launch of a virtual poker tournament service together.
Sportsbetting and horseracing services online, together with 600 exclusive and non-exclusive betting points-of-sale are Intralot’s Italian subsidiary current main products. An extensive retail network and a series of marketing initiatives will be functioning into promoting the new online Intralot Poker service throughout the Mediterranean countries. Intralot studied the Italian market and sees the online poker sales in Italy estimated to reach approximately €1.5 billion this year, thus exceeding their initial expectations.
