Last week, the story came out that Deliverance Poker had filed lawsuit against Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi for breach of contract. More information is now available on the lawsuit. Not only is Mizrachi being sued, but Full Tilt Poker, as well. While FT has declined to comment, a copy of the complaint is floating around. In the complaint, Deliverance Poker claims that Mizrachi was in contract with the online poker room to wear their logo at live events including the 2010 WSOP, but showed up at the Main Event wearing the FT logo.
According to the statement, Mizrachi entered into written contract with Deliverance Poker on July 12 2009. The actual contract, however, has not been released, so it remains to be seen whether or not Mizrachi was in fact in violation of that contract. What is also unknown is the length of the contract. In other words, the contract may have only spanned the one year starting from the WSOP Main Event 2009.
Full Tilt has been included in the lawsuit because Deliverance Poker claims the online poker giant knew that Mizrachi was involved in another contract, yet they still suggested and allowed Mizrachi to wear the FT logo. This would make FT guilty of tortuous interference, which is the deliberate cause of a party to violate a contract with another company or contract.
Mizrachi’s Twitter account explained that there are two sides to every story. He also expressed that he looks forward to telling his story and letting the truth be known: In light of this week’s news remember there are two sides to every story. I look forward telling my side and the truth coming out. September 9th 4:38 p.m. You can follow Michael Mizrachi on Twitter @thegrinder44.
