As a result of the various online cheating scandals, such as Absolute Poker and UltimateBet Poker, a new software has been created with the purpose of monitoring for dishonest play and cheating. This is aimed at making online gaming a better place for its patrons. ‘PitBoss’ is a new security package that can be used by players and the online casinos. It will monitor and spot casino fraud as well as cheating.
Initially produced by CogniSafe, this system can detect irregular and illogical and gaming, and in turn decide if it is caused by bots or software corruption. Cognisafe, which an Israeli-based IT company says this will be addressing the major worry of Internet casinos and online poker rooms patrons.
The C.T.O of CogniSafe said the device uses standard player behaviour models and math algorithms to spot fraudulent gaming. Software irregularities and bots who play without human interference will be detected.
Online gambling is still on the increase, in spite of the an attempted U.S ban, the financial crisis, and the current overall low confidence surrounding game integrity at the poker room exposes. PitBoss and other such software will be initiating a greater level of public trust towards the clarity and honesty of the Internet gambling websites.
Offering higher capabilities in monitoring and harsher regulations in the near future with the striking of the UIGEA, the gaming industry insiders are expecting riper conditions towards a significant jump in online gambling annual revenue and followers.
