Full Tilt Poker has just announced through an ABC News press statement, that their players and respective accounts are being reimbursed. In fact, anyone who got affected by the recent upholding of player funds because of the Instant eCheck platform have and will have the full monetary amount reimbursed to their accounts as soon as possible.
Full Tilt spokeswoman Michele Clayborn, commented on this during a press statement, “In light of recent events involving the freezing of certain accounts, Full Tilt Poker would like to assure all players that their funds remain safe and secure. All players who were affected by the current situation have had their funds returned to their accounts’’.
Poker players have not yet confirmed on their end that they have been reimbursed by PokerStars but it has been stated that they will also be given an additional bonus of 10 percent credit. Players would be satisfied with this gesture and full reimbursement.
It has been reported that over $30 million have been frozen in the accounts of payment processors by the federal government. These payment processors such as Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars are the ones handling the winnings of thousands of online poker players on a daily basis.
According to documents obtained by the AP, a federal prosecutor told Alliance Bank to freeze accounts and a magistrate judge in the district had issued a seizure warrant last week for an account at a Wells Fargo bank in San Francisco. In addition to this, some warning letters were also received by various other banking institutions. These were sent through a federal prosecutor who implied that the funds were being used for as transactions for money laundering needs. Until now, there was no immediate confirmation by Full Tilt players that the money has been reimbursed. Meanwhile, PokerStars customers have reported they have been reimbursed as yet.
