Chilipoker, owned and operated by Chiligaming, will release an online poker subscription website next year. The new operation will supplement the already successful empire that the company has built as well as drive the expansion of the brand into new markets from Asia-Pacific to the USA, as well as enhance existing operations.
As an answer to the UIGEA that in essence banned online poker in the US, subscription poker is in fact legal in a majority of states. It allows players access to an unlimited amount of free online poker activity for a preset monthly fee. Advertisers pay for real cash prizes, so that winners do actually win cash and merchandise.
The move to offer subscription poker to participating states in the US is done in effort to establish media, telecom, and partnerships with casinos in new and regulated markets encompassing both traditional Internet gambling as well as new and innovative concepts and gaming models.
Like many gambling operations, Chiligaming is making moves to position itself in the US market of online poker, should the sport be eventually regulated by the government. Offering subscription poker online now should do just that. In fact, Chilipoker.fr was in the forefront of the French online poker market when the activity was regulated in France back in June of this year.
CEO of Chilipoker, Alexandre Dreyful, says, “Our economies of scale will help this be a strong mechanism for further growth and it will help fill the void that exists in markets where online gaming is restricted and consumers want to play poker. In markets where we operate online gaming, this new product will provide consumers with more choice.” He adds, “We are very excited about this new dimension to our business.”
