Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat Jackpot was hit recently for the third time this year, making an unsure loser out of player, “baseball127” when he won $211K on a losing hand. The game took place in the dark hours of the morning on one of Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat Tables. Baseball’s straight flush was beat by a royal flush, costing him the $128 pot, but the hand winner won much more than this. “WhiteCSix’s” Royal Flush was worth more like $105K.
Other players at the table, who were smart enough to fold, each earned $15K+ for being involved in the big event. It’s no secret that Carbon Poker has the lowest qualifying Bad Beat with Quad 7s or better. (Most other online poker rooms require you to lose with 8s or better.) The Bad Beat Jackpot at Carbon Poker has since been reset to $125K, but has grown to more than $150K already in the past week.
Carbon Poker’s Bad Beat Jackpot paid out a world record $1.2 million earlier this year and a second 2009 payout of $750K. This time, the total payout to the entire table was worth more than $400K.
Other Carbon Poker promos similar to this one include the Royal Flush bonus, which can be won at any real-money Texas Hold ‘em cash table. If you win with a Royal Flush with your hole cards, you’ll automatically win 100 X the big blind in poker bonus money. If you’re playing at a $5/$10 table, that’s $1,000! To claim this bonus, just earn 30 VIP points for every $1.
