The Merge Poker network, which Aced Poker is a part of, averages approximately 325 cash game players online. The traffic is very small compared to the large poker rooms such as Full Tilt and PokerStars. However, the traffic at Aced is steadily increasing and the recent signing of Jamie Gold will likely bring in some new cash game players. There are usually games running up to the $5/$10 tables and Jamie Gold can sometimes be found playing $50/$100 tables when he is online. Aced offers a wide variety of poker games including Omaha, 5 card draw, 5 card stud, 7 card stud, triple draw, badugi, HORSE and razz. Each of these games will have a few players at the micro stakes, but it is rare to see bigger games running at these tables.
There are plenty of low buy-in tourneys running through the day at Aced. The majority of tournaments have buy-ins of under $20, so if you like to play low-buy tournaments for cash Aced has the tournament schedule you need. The Sunday $50K guaranteed is the biggest weekly tournament at Aced Poker. The buy-in for this event is $109 and there is often plenty of overlay that makes this tournament a great value for all players. Bounty tournaments comprise a big portion of the Aced Poker tournament schedule. The players seem to enjoy the bounty tournaments a lot and the sit and go’s that fill are often bounty tournament sit and go’s.
Software & Graphics
Aced Poker runs quality, smooth running software that implements a lot of nice features that are unique to Merge Poker network rooms. For example at Aced Poker you can rabbit hunt if you win the pot before the river. This means you can see the cards that would have been next had you continued in the hand. You can also play at some specific “deal it twice” tables where if you get all of your chips into the middle you and your opponent can decide to deal the remaining board cards twice. The Aced Poker software also includes a casino section where you can play blackjack, video poker, roulette and more.
Competition
Aced Poker has very soft competition compared to the bigger online poker rooms such as PokerStars. The Merge Poker network brought in a lot of inexperienced players by offering a lot of freeroll tournaments in the early days of the network. Merge has since moved away from this strategy, but a lot of the fish remain. If you play a tight aggressive style at the low limits of Aced Poker you should make a solid profit.
Support
Aced Poker offers only email support. Even though the email support is very fast and helpful it would be nice to see Aced Poker also offer either live chat or phone support to provide an instant option for players.
Deposits & Withdrawals
You can deposit via Visa, MasterCard, Moneybookers, EntroPay, PIC-Club, Click2Pay, wire transfer, eWalletXpress and more. $10 is the minimum deposit amount at Aced Poker. $50 is the minimum you can withdraw.
