As many poker players will realize, the game of poker is a numbers game and if you are good with numbers then you can be good at poker. Luca Pagano is one of those players who are really good with numbers. The Italian poker player studied computer programming and enjoys the stock market. When he stumbled upon PokerStars Luca began his rise in the poker world.

Luca began playing at the free money tables and quickly learned that he was the one to beat. Luca could join a table and knock out the other players in no time. He then decided to graduate to real money play and that decision changed his life.

After beginning real money play, Luca earned several cash finishes at PokerStars in some of the biggest online tournaments. He also won money playing the high stakes cash tables. After building a bank roll Luca entered in live tournaments.

Luca saw great success at the European Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars. He finished in third place at Season One’s Barcelona event winning $24,500 and in April 2008 he finished in sixth place at the Grand Final Season four in Monte Carlo winning just over a half a million dollars.

His poker career began in 2004 and since that time he has earned over $600,000 and has become a member of Team PokerStars. Luca holds the current record for most cashes in the European Poker Tour at nine. With such accomplishments it is no doubt that Luca will continue to improve and move up in the poker world.
