Phil Ivey’s online poker activity at FullTilt was recently analyzed, along with some other big winning players. The results, based on data collected since January 1, 2007, concluded that Ivey dominates the high-stakes tables at FullTilt.com by a landslide. Due to his diversity as a player, and ability to master just about any form of poker, he surpasses all other contenders, who can only claim fame in one game of poker. Ivey holds records for four different poker variations.
The numbers show that since the beginning of 2007, Ivey has reportedly played more than 41,000 tracked No-Limit Hold ‘em hands. These hands resulted in $2.3+ million in cash winnings. For the game of Pot Limit Omaha, Ivey played 47,000+ hands, winning him $1.4+ million. Since July 2008, Ivey also played 20,000 hands of Omaha Hi/Lo paying out $3.1+ million and 25,000+ HORSE hands, totaling $1.99+ million. While other players have single-game records better than Ivey, no one has the versatile stats that Ivey does, and no other player has a better HORSE record on FullTilt. His total estimated online winnings are nearing $10 million.
Number two on the list is Di “Urindanger” Dang with $4.34+ million in online FullTilt winnings since January 2007. Third place goes to David Benyamine with $4.1 million; fourth place is Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond with $3.9+ million, and fifth is Tom “durrr” Dawn with $3.6+ million.
None of these players even come close to Ivey, though, even if you add up players’ multiple accounts totals (i.e. Benyamine and Patrik Antonius). Furthermore, Ivey has a much higher profit per hand than any of these other player, and has played fewer hands, by far, than the other top four. Ivey has a lifetime hand total on FullTilt of approximately 135,000, leading Galfond, who has played about 240,000 hands online at FullTilt, followed by Benyamine with an approximated 500,000 FT hands.
Add together Ivey’s $9+ million FT winnings, his lifetime live tournament cashouts, and he’s almost made $20 million, not to mention his live cash game winnings, which can only be assumed to be in the millions, as well, and a stake in FullTilt.com. Ivey ranks number 41 on the Player of the Year list, 2008.
