In the spirit of giving this holiday season, Bovada Poker is introducing a December promotion, the “12 Days of Poker,” which will be a 45-event tournament series that yields some very generous payouts at the expense of very low buy-ins (the lowest buy-in being $10 + $1).
The first event kicks off on December 21st, 2008 at 2 p.m. ET with a $3000 prize pool and $100 + $9 buy-in to be followed by the first of two $20K guaranteed events, both to take place on the two Sundays of the promotion at 4:00 p.m., also with a $109 buy-in. The last event before the semi-final will be a $22 buy-in $1000 turbo tournament to take place on January 1st, 2009. The total prize pool for the entire event adds up to more than $100,000, in addition to six satellite packages for the Bovada Poker Open 3, worth more than $2000 each.
Here’s how it will work: The 12 Days of Christmas Leaderboard will automatically keep tabs on the results of every event. The top 100 places on the final leaderboard will receive entry into a freeroll that will award three Bovada Poker Open 3 prize packages.
Winners placing first through fourth on the TLB will enter a 27-player final tournament. Players in fifth place through 100th place will advance to the Semi-Final tournament, to take place on Thursday, January 8, 2008; 18 players will advance to the Grand Finale to be held Thursday, January 15. There will be five wild cards awarded, which will be drawn from all players who played in at least five 12 Days of Poker tourneys.
The top three finishing players in the Grand Finale will also each win a Bovada Poker Open 3 package, while places fourth through tenth in the Grand Finale gain entry into the Bovada Fight Club Semi-Final, which will be introduced as part of a new promotional program that will launch in early January.
