It is a huge psychological factor for a player to go from limit poker to no limit poker. The idea of having all of your chips you have bought in for on the line causes some players to play incorrectly because they are playing scared. When a player is used to small bets in comparison to a large pot it is a big factor when all of a sudden the pot can become very large and cost them their entire stack in order to contend for it. Brunson talks about this change and it’s affects on players when they make the switch from limit to no limit. He has already taken this step himself and goes over it very well in Super System: A Course in Power Poker.

Throughout the text in the book Brunson discusses many of the different mental processes that will take place while on the tables. He goes over a lot of areas of the game from different aspects to help the reader better understand the situation that they will experience in poker. Brunson uses his book as an amazing tutorial for players to use when approaching different situations as a whole and dealing with them in a professional manner.

There are a lot of different spots in the literature that the different friends of Brunson throw in their thought about the game. They go into detail about the aspects that they specialize in better. Mike Caro has a large section in the literature that talks about the statistics and odds of the game. Caro breaks the game down into pure mathematics so that each situation is clearer for why which play would be correct in the long run. He explains the giving incorrect odds to your opponent when you feel they are on a draw and also the odds needed to chase a draw when an opponent is the aggressor.
