Poker Sites which Accept PayPal as a payment method

PayPal Poker RoomsBecause of its association with EBay, PayPal is easily the biggest, most popular e-wallet in today’s economy. This means that many poker players may have money in their PayPal accounts and wish to use that money to deposit onto a poker site. This is a big problem however, and many of these players struggle to find a site to deposit on. There are only a few poker rooms that accept PayPal, all of which are British bookmakers.

The gambling sites which accept PayPal as a payment method are:

Ladbrokes Poker

Ladbrokes started out as a bookmaker in the UK a long time ago and they were also one of the first companies to launch an online poker room. As a poker player at Ladbrokes Poker you will be able to make a deposit using PayPal. Once you have deposited you can use the funds to play in their online casino, sportsbook and in their 3-D poker room.

The following countries are restricted from making a deposit at Ladbrokes using PayPal: France, Germany, Holland and Italy.

BWIN Poker

BWIN is actually the only bookmaker with a poker room on the list of poker sites accepting PayPal which are not a UK poker site. BWIN is in fact one of the biggest bookmakers in Austria and they own the famous Ongame Poker Network. If you want to play poker on the Ongame Network and PayPal is your only deposit option then BWIN is the place to go.

If you are from one of the following countries you will not be able to deposit using PayPal at BWIN Poker: Australia, Denmark, Holland, France and Norway.

PaddyPower Poker

PaddyPower is an Irish bookmaker that also has an online poker room in their portfolio. Since PadyPower are acceoting PayPal you will be able to cater for all of your gambling needs at the same place as they offer a sportsbook, casino, skill games and online poker. You will be able to use all of these products using Paypal as a deposit method.

Poker players from the following countries can not use PayPal as a deposit option at PaddyPower Poker: France, Holland, Norway, Greece and Germany.

William Hill Poker

William Hill is a UK bookie just like many others on the list of PayPal poker rooms and they have just recently joined the iPoker Network where they are sharing traffic with a lot of other large poker rooms. As a player at WillHill you will be able to make deposits using your PayPal account.

Betfair Poker

Betfair is not your regular bookmaker. At you will be able to set your own odds and take bets from other players. A couple of years ago Betfair bought the poker room PokerChamps from Gus Hansen and they are now running their own poker room using that award winning software. You will be able to use you PayPal account to transfer funds to your Betfair Poker account.

You will only be able to deposit using PayPal at Betfair Poker if you are registered from one of the following countries: UK, Sweden Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, France, Finland, Denmark, Belgium or Austria.

No PayPal Poker for US and Canadian Citizens

There are only a small amount of rooms which accept PayPal because of the trouble America has been through with the passing of the UIEGA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) back in the year 2006. PayPal therefore wants to ensure their company is safe and limits the amount of options available to players so they cannot deposit onto a US poker site.

All three of the current sites are based in Europe and are not open to US residents. This stops them from using PayPal as a payment method as they cannot even open up the software. All of the sites started out as bookmakers, and have, over the past few years, created poker rooms and casinos for players.
