The 888 Poker Network, a.k.a. Pacific Poker Network, is owned and operated 888 Holdings parent company Cassava Enterprises, headquartered and licensed in Gibraltar. 888 Holdings, publically traded on the London Stock Exchange as ‘888’, was originally established in 1997, launching its first multi-player online poker room in 2002 - Pacific Poker (hence the general association with the name Pacific Poker Network). Already famous for its massive online casino network, the 888 Poker Network has grown enormously thanks to its singular poker skin Pacific Poker. While 888 Holdings does supply its software to other online poker rooms, it does not share its network player base. Only Pacific Poker is a part of the 888 Poker Network.
Traffic
The 888 Pacific Poker Network is the 12th largest in the industry. 888 was actually expected to go under back in 2006 when US legislation forced the company’s decision to no longer accept US players. However, the quality of the online poker network and software kept the 888 Poker Network afloat, maintaining a steady average of 5,000+ real money players a day, with nearly 2,000 at peak hours. Counting all players, real-money and play-money, Pacific Poker attracts up to 10,000 at peak hours.
Promotions
The 888 Pacific Poker Network encompasses only Pacific Poker; so technically, there are no “universal promotions” on the poker network. However, we’ll list a few of Pacific Poker’s more valuable promotions since it does still qualify as Pacific Poker Network promotions.
The Pacific Poker Network comes with a Welcome Bonus of 100% up to $400, plus entry to seven daily $500 New Depositors Freeroll, worth $3,500 in Freeroll action. Existing members will earn entry to a weekly $1k Freeroll if they deposit within the weekly time frame. The tournament schedule offers daily $20k Guarantees and a $100k GTD Deep Stack every Sunday. Pacific Poker presents numerous opportunities to win a prize package to live poker events depending on the time of year. Satellites to the Irish Open are currently on the menu.
Special Features
The 888 Poker Network’s software comes with most of the standard features found in today’s top online poker rooms, including separate versions of the software (download and Flash) for global OS compatibility. More unique features include one of the most extensive filtering functions and an All-In Verification button to avoid accidental all-in bets occasionally made by wondering mouse clickers. An action hand replay option allows players to immediately replay the previous hand.
Games Offered
The game variety on the 888 Pacific Poker Network is fairly diverse; one of the primary reasons Pacific Poker survived the 2006 exclusion of US players on the 888 Poker Network. The following poker games and betting structures are available:
[Note: FL=Fixed Limit, NL=No Limit, PL=Pot Limit]
Texas Hold’em: FL, NL, PL

Omaha Hi/Lo: FL, PL
7 Card Stud: FL

Online Poker Rooms
The 888 Poker Network is made up of only one online poker room, Pacific Poker. 888 Holdings does license its exceptional poker client to other online poker rooms, but the Pacific Poker Network does not share its player base.
