The Sunday Brawl is a weekly Knockout Bounty tournament worth a guaranteed $350K in cash each week. This is a Hold ‘em tournament that is played every Sunday at 2:00 pm ET. Knockout Bounties are similar to regular style tournaments, but instead of your buy-in going straight into the prize pool, it will be split between the prize pool and the bounty on your own head. For this particular tourney, the buy-in will cost you $240 + $16. $200 of this will go to the cash prize pool and $40 will be awarded to the player who knocks you out. But let’s hope that doesn’t happen. For every player you knock out, you’ll instantly receive $40.
You can get into this tournament via satellite, if you’d rather save yourself the buy-in. There are plenty of satellites ranging from $10 + $1 buy-ins to $69 + $6 buy-ins. You can also join a satellite with FullTilt Points. To view all of the qualifying tourneys, click on the Sunday Brawl tournament listing in the lobby and the registration window that pops up will list all upcoming qualifiers for this event.
FullTilt provides a Leaderboard on their website that keeps track of each week’s Sunday Brawl winners, the all-time Sunday Brawl KOs (the highest now is 94), and players who have scored the most knockouts in individual Sunday Brawls. Full Tilt Poker pro Michael Craig is on page 3 with 44. Think of the bragging rights you would have if you made it on the list of one of these boards amongst legends like Huck Seed. Currently you only need 37 all-time KOs to make it on the list.
The highest number of knockouts in one Brawl was 22. That’s more than 3 times the buy-in. But you only have to knock out 7 players if you want to come out ahead, even if you don’t place in the cash—and there are thousands of players to go up against every week. The player who makes the most knockouts each week will automatically get a ticket to the Sunday Brawl of the following week. Also, if you find yourself at a table with a Full Tilt red pro, you can get the buy-in back, without tourney fees, up to $200, if you can knock a pro out. Pros are listed in red at the top of the players list in the tournament window. These Bustout Bounties are valid anytime you are at a 30+ scheduled multi-table.
If you enjoy collecting bounties on your poker peers, then this is the ultimate online bounty tournament available—you won’t find a bigger one than the Sunday Brawl at FullTilt.
