Cake Poker offers one of the most rewarding loyalty programs you will find at any online poker room. One leg of the exciting rewards system at Cake is the Cake Poker Gold Card System. In order to be eligible to win a Gold Card, all you need to do is take a seat at any real money ring game on Cake (low, medium, or high stakes!)
How It Works:
The Random Number Generator (RNG), which is used a lot in gambling facilities, both on- and offline, randomly releases one single Gold Card from the Cake Poker Vault whenever a specific amount of rake is collected at a table. Therefore, more Gold Cards will be handed out at higher-stakes games because the rake will increase more quickly. You must match the chosen card with one from your hand (even if you folded that hand). Gold Cards will continually appear until someone at the table makes a match, and then continually as rake is collected.
Once you’ve started collecting Gold Cards, you can view them in the “Rewards” tab. Click “Gold Card” then “Collection.” Since Series III has already started, you can view your collection from any of the three series here.

What Are They Good For?
There are 5 million Gold Cards to be handed out during Series III and a $52K grand prize jackpot to be deposited into one lucky player’s real-money Cake Poker account. In order to win the pot, one player must be the first to collect the entire Series III deck, or to the player who owns the most unique set of Series III Gold Cards.
Because Gold Cards do not expire, cards from all three series can also be used at the Gold Card Daily Lottery or for instant monthly promotional rewards. In the daily lottery, if the numbers match up with cards in your collection, you might win cash or even a tournament ticket. You have to be conscientious of this though, and check your hand against the numbers every day because prizes can only be redeemed within 24 hours of the lottery drawing. Lottery numbers are announced at midnight, nightly, and also generated by the RNG. Once 24 hours has past, so do the numbers and the prizes.
According to Cake Poker, while all Gold Cards are redeemable, they are not all created equally. For example, cards dealt in Series I and II, are now more valuable after the series are over. So, if you want your collection to be worth something, the sooner you start earning the gold, the more valuable your set will be. Eventually, Series III will end and a fourth series will inevitably begin. Unfortunately, though, once you redeem a Gold Card for cash rewards and lottery winnings, it is removed from your personal collection, as well as from the website.
This feature was set up to exclusively reward Cake’s ring game players. Gold Cards are redeemable for special prizes and can get you into special events, as well. Go for the daily prizes or go for the big cash jackpot. Either way, the more cards you collect, the more opportunities you have to win.
