After what has been a long relationship between US poker players and PokerStars and between US players and Full Tilt Poker, a sad but abrupt ending has come. After FBI agents seized the domains of the biggest four online poker sites on the Internet yesterday, there have been an influx on of online poker players with nowhere to go. If you are one of these US players who formerly played at PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker, visit this USA poker page to find out where to play online poker now that you are no longer welcome at PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker.
It is likely that USA players can still log in to their online poker accounts at Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars, so long as they have the software downloaded; however, access to the URLs has been denied. You will still also be able to participate in play money online poker games, but only as a play money player. PokerStars has shut the doors to all real money players residing in the US, much like PartyPoker did following the enactment of the UIGEA. The difference here is that the founding members of Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, and Absolute Poker are now either under arrest and facing 20 years in federal prison or are wanted by the FBI. Federal agents have been working with foreign agencies and Interpol in efforts to retain all 11 charged defendants.
If you are looking for an online poker site to play at and you are a USA resident, click here to find all of the sites that are still accepting USA poker players. These sites are safe and reliable.
