Dragonfish, an independent B2B division of 888 Holdings recently announced a deal that will get the ball rolling on an 888/Microgaming poker network in France. Two new collaborators that will join the new network are companies Full Fun and AD Astra, both of which just received approval to provide online poker in France.
This joint venture will create a shared pool of player liquidity on one single platform, available to the licensees of Microgaming and Dragonfish in France, as well as to 888’s B2C poker players.
Gigi Levy, CEIO of 888 and MD of Dragonfish said, “In newly regulated markets it is important for partners to create a shared pool of liquidity, benefiting customers and assisting in rapidly generating large poker networks.
“These agreements will pave the way for others in the pipeline to follow, helping us to build this liquidity and benefit from the opportunities available in the French market.”
Both Full Fun and AD Astra have been involved in the French poker market for quite a while and bring plenty of market knowledge, as well as experience to the table. Full Fun will operate the pokerSubito brand, while AD Astra will host pokerXtrem.
Dragonfish has been on the forefront of global online gaming, partnering with such companies as Harrah’s. They have been involved in quite a few ventures in Europe as online gaming such as bingo as spread through the continent.
Microgaming is one of the most trusted names in online gaming software and networking, though currently anti-US. They host some of the most popular online casino games in the business including progressive slots, as well as host one of the largest online poker networks in the world.
