It hasn’t been long since former Tournament Director Serge Ravitch and Poker Room Manager Lee Jones resigned from their positions at Cake Poker Network, more shocking news is announced with Cake in the headlines. It is now been released that Doyles Room has withdrawn their business from the Cake Network and moving on to the Yatahay Poker Network.
A Doyles Room rep stated last week that the decision will allow Doyles Room to “offer its players a customized poker experience.”
Other sites on the Cake Network have been rumored to be switching networks, as well.
When Doyles Room joined Cake after leaving Microgaming in 2009, so that they could reinstate their US players, all seemed will with the world. But in the online gambling world, things change, and they will now be the premiere brand on the Yatahay Network where they will share tables with True Poker, IsleCasino Poker, and SkyBook Poker. This will also mean that Doyles Room players will have to download a new software, but other than that, the change shouldn’t be too harsh, outside of promotions and such (no more Gold Chip and Gold Card related promos).
Doyle Brunson himself seems to be excited about the change, stating, “With our new software, we’re able to do our own thing in terms of promotions, software features and customer service.” He continued, “For our players, that means a tailored poker experience with more rewarding promotions and incentives. I’m personally excited about what’s ahead.”
Existing players will automatically be switched over to the new network, and US players will still be accepted at the new network.
