Absolute Poker and UB.com have taken drastic measures to put the safety of their players first and foremost with a new Security Token. The CEREUS Network has sought out a way to strengthen security by using an additional layer of user authentication.
“We are committed to doing everything possible to safeguard our network and players, and we want to provide every option to boost their personal security, particularly those who keep sick amounts of cash in their accounts day-to-day,” commented Joe Sebok, Team UB Pro. He continued, “The Security Token will provide the most up-to-date security solution to ensure that every player’s personal information and bankroll is always protected.”
Players will have to make the choice to use the Security Token but by doing so, they opt in to a state-of-the-art technology that is otherwise entrusted by other security driven institutions such as banks. The small electronic device must be physically present in the player’s hand when he logs in with his password. It is tied to the player’s account, and access to that account is not granted if the device is not utilized in conjunction with the password.
This prevents a compromised password from allowing other parties to gain access to one’s account. Now using a one-button security device, CEREUS Network members now have the peace of mind of unrivalled security at their fingertips. The Security Token can also be used as a stand-alone security measure or alongside a 5-digit SecureID PIN number that the player will choose. After the PIN is activated, the player will log in as usual with username and password and enter the 5-digit pin to finish the login process.
To take advantage of the added security protection, you can purchase the Security Token in the Absolute Poker or UB.com poker rewards stores.
