The poker world knows the Brunson 10 as an elite group of strapping young online poker players hand-picked by Doyle Brunson himself to take the next generation of poker players to the Brunson level. Already in the highly esteemed group are Chris “moorman1” Moorman, Zachary “CrazyZachary” Clark, Amit “amak316” Makhija, Alex “AJKHoosier1” Kamberis, Steve “gboro780” Gross, and Dani “ansky451” Stern. With each new member, Brunson and his online poker room, DoylesRoom.com gets a publicity boost, and now, once again a seventh member is being added to the group, but this time the story goes further than Brunson announcing a name.
This time four players will duke it out for spot number seven via a leaderboard competition that will run during this year’s WSOP. The player with the most points on the leaderboard will represent Brunson’s 7th spot in his elite club. The four finalists follow: David “Doc Sands” Sands, Dan “djk123” Kelly, Faraz “The-Toilet” Jaka, and Michael “Martine23” Martin.
All four of these up-and-coming poker players are young and spitfire players who have proved their place in the competition tearing up the WSOP events this year.
The Brunson 10 players are featured at DoylesRoom.com in the weekly promotional event Beat the Brunson 10, a tourney that runs every Monday at 9:00 p.m. ET. For $22 you can buy-in to this event and then earn $500 for every Brunson 10 member you knock out. The winner of the tournament takes $1,000. This team also represents DoylesRoom.com across the world at live events where they play in and win a variety of live poker tournaments. Right now you can find them tearing up the tables at the 2010 WSOP.
